What is a Y Adapter?
A Y Adapter allows you to connect to outlets to your dust extraction system. This allows you to extract both the left and right hand sides of your grinding system.
What extractor hose is compatible with this Y Adapter?
We recommend extractor hose with a 100mm diameter.
Can I attach a Y Adapter to my own grinding system?
That depends on the diameter of extraction hose and other adapters that you are attempting to adapt to. Take a photo and email us and we can make some recommendations.
How do I connect a Y Adapter to my grinding system?
We recommend connecting your Y Adapter to your blast gates of your grinding system using offcuts of 100mm extractor hose. The extractor hose acts as the adapter between your Y Adapter and your blast gates. The extractor hose, blast gates and Y adapter are then all connected using extractor hose clamps of a 100mm diameter. These extractor hose clamps can then be tightened using a drill with a Philips head attachment.
